Hyde Street Pier
San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park

Mission San Jose

Mission Delores
San Francisco- Adults- $3 Students- $1

Sonoma State Historic Park

Visit General Vallejo’s House, Soldiers Barracks, Toscano Hotel, Mission San Francisco de Solano

Monterey State Historic Park
There are docent led tours of many of Historic buildings- all free of charge

San Juan Bautista State Historic Park
1st Saturday of the month is Living History Days with costumed docents.
Mission donations- Adult- $2 Age 12 and up- $1

Columbia State Historic Park
Old gold-rush town in the Sierra foothills. free

John Muir National Historic Park
Martinez, Ca. John Muir’s House and old adobe dwelling. Adult- $3 under 16- free.

Preservation Park
Near Oakland’s city center. 16 Victorian buildings renovated

Roaring Camp Railroads

Steam powered Railroad in the Santa Cruz Mountains
Tickets are around $20 for adults, $15 for children. Look for special events like the upcoming “Day out with Thomas the Train” at the end of July or special holiday themed events

Black Diamond Mines
Antioch- great hiking and historic mine tours. Historic cemetery.
Age limit- 7 and above for tours.
